Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
Our people on the front line know all too well the devastating impacts that mental illness can have on those living with it, but also the effect it has on those around them.
A group from our Cairns Operations Centre and some of their loved ones have been placing their best foot forward participating in the Black Dog Institute ‘One Foot Forward’ campaign which sees the group walk and raise funds to support and change the lives of those people living with mental illness. Whilst participating, the group has been able to have great conversations on how to care for themselves physically and mentally as an individual and supporting each other as a team.
If you want to know more about this great cause or jump on board to support our QAS Cairns team you can visit: https://www.onefootforward.org.au/fundraisers/QASCairns
