Detectives investigate after two cows, deer shot dead north of Brisbane

Detectives are investigating after two cows, worth $2500, and a deer were shot dead on a rural property in the Somerset region, north-west of Brisbane.
Police said the animals were shot and killed on a rural property on Wivenhoe Somerset Road at Crossdale in two incidents between March 14 and March 31.

Police said a small amount of meat was removed.
The deer was found dead near Lake Somerset by Seqwater rangers, with surveillance images capturing several trespassers carrying firearms between March 29 and March 31.
