Manly’s desperate plight has been shown by the Sea Eagles signing Warriors hooker Karl Lawton immediately – despite the fact he is set to miss the majority of the season with an achilles injury.
The Warriors have given Lawton an immediate release and he has signed a two-year deal with Manly – but won’t make his debut until he is over the injury which will be mid-season at best.
