Deprivation of liberty, Augustine Heights

A man has been charged after being found hiding in the boot of a white BMW sedan he forced the owner to drive at knifepoint in Augustine Heights yesterday.
Around 6.30am, police were called to Conlan Court about a man acting suspiciously and trespassing in a number of properties.
When officers arrived at one residence, they were alerted by a 17-year-old boy who informed them the man had knocked on the door and forced it open on the 45-year-old woman inside.
The man then allegedly threatened the woman with a knife, before crawling into the boot of the sedan and forced her to drive away from the property.
The teenage boy provided a description of the vehicle and officers were able pull it over outside the Springfield Police…
