Demolition begins on site of $300 million resort in Port Douglas – Newsport

Construction on the site, which includes 253 luxury rooms, several restaurants and bars, a day spa, and conference and wedding facilities, is set to begin in the first quarter of 2021.
Whilst a project builder is yet to be appointed, Chiodo Principal, Paul Chiodo said his team is looking to put the project out to tender early next year.
Having witnessed the anticipation around this project since it was announced in early 2020, it is an amazing feeling to see our vision on track to fruition, he said.
