Deloitte insolvency partner Vaughan Strawbridge jumps ship – The Australian Financial Review
The country’s highest profile corporate administrator – Vaughan Strawbridge from Deloitte – has been snapped up by a rival firm.
The methodical Strawbridge set about restructuring Virgin, targeting its cost base and business plan, while also trying to find a new investor to bankroll and eventually take control of the airline.
Virgin’s administration culminated in Strawbridge agreeing a deal with US private equity firm Bain Capital, which was later approved by Virgin’s creditors. Bain Capital has funded the airline since July 1 and formally took the keys last month.
