Defective high rises falling through cracks in warranty

Owners of newly-minted high rise apartments have been exposed to financial ruin through a major loophole in the state’s building warranty scheme, experts say.
The Queensland’s Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Home Warranty Scheme, only covers new homes, townhouses or multiple-unit dwellings, no higher than three storeys.
