Decision on AGL gas hub at Cribb Point looms as unlikely alliance campaigns against the proposal

A state government decision on whether a 300-metre-long floating gas terminal off the Mornington Peninsula will go ahead is imminent, with opposition groups vowing to continue their fight against the project even if it is approved.

An unlikely coalition including the Victorian Liberal and National parties, Indigenous traditional owners, local federal MP Greg Hunt, three local councils and environmental groups oppose the proposed plant off Crib Point, near Hastings.
