The death of Doreen Langham in a Browns Plains fire deemed to be “suspicious” has sparked calls for more to be done to stamp out the scourge of domestic violence.

Police found the 49-year-old’s body in the charred wreckage of her townhouse, south of Brisbane, alongside her ex-partner Gary Hely.
