Darwin nightclub security guard to contest charges over incident that left US marine in induced coma

A security guard has faced court over an incident on Darwin’s nightclub strip that led to a US marine being placed in an induced coma.

Hayden Robert Bruce Summers has been charged with unlawfully causing serious harm over his alleged interactions with a US marine while working at Monsoons nightclub on April 11.
There were few details revealed in court of what transpired on the night, but prosecutor James Bainbridge told the court the US marine was badly injured in the alleged exchange.
