When Daniel Yock died in custody, it sparked a wildfire of anger that’s still smouldering 27 years on.
It remains one of Australia’s most controversial deaths in custody.
Eighteen-year-old Daniel Yock was arrested, hand-cuffed and placed in the back of a police van after a brief confrontation in the inner Brisbane suburb of West End.
