Viridine never went around a horse before jockey Damien Oliver guided the Godolphin galloper to a strong win in the Group III Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.
Viridine had run a solid second to mudlark Jungle Edge in heavy ground in the Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) at his previous run but things were different for the sprinter this time.
The Caulfield track was rated a good (4) for the Bletchingly Stakes, which made it almost impossible for Jungle Edge to win before the race started….
