Close contacts of people who’ve tested positive for coronavirus in the UK will be offered repeated testing rather than having to isolate, under new plans.

Britain is to introduce a new strategy of repeated testing of close contacts of people who’ve tested positive for coronavirus, rather than requiring them to isolate.
Currently those deemed to have been in contact with a Covid-positive person – such as Prime Minister Boris Johnson – are required to isolate for 14 days.
But the new scheme will see people undergo daily tests for a week and not have to self-isolate unless they test positive themselves.
