Cyclone Imogen to impact Normanton, Cairns as BoM radar predicts heavy rain, flash flooding
Up to 250mm of rain is expected to pummel Far North Queensland after Tropical Cyclone Imogen hit the Gulf of Carpentaria overnight.
Flood warnings are in place along the coast, for all rivers between Cooktown, Cairns and Townsville.
The Category 1 system is expected to become a tropical low on Monday morning as it moves further inland, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
