Cultural shindig to be cut as scissors come out for Tokyo 2021 – The Australian Financial Review
Carpooling for officials and unified branding for the Olympics and Paralympics are on the cards as the delayed Tokyo Games tries to cut costs.

Organisers were considering curbing the perks, such as individual chauffeured cars, for members of the “Olympic Family” NOC and international sporting federation presidents and IOC members.
“Do they get individual cars and drivers or do they get pooled cars and drivers?” Mr Coates said.
“What is the shift that the drivers, who are volunteers or employed what is the shift that they will work? Is it nine or 10 hours?”
