Crysis Remastered Release Date Delayed For Every Platform Except Nintendo Switch – The Tech Education

Crytek has not delayed the Nintendo Switch release date for Crysis Remastered. This in spite of them announcing that they’re delaying the game on other platforms. So, as of right now, Crysis Remastered is still coming to the Switch on July 23, 2020.

“You may have seen our last update about the Crysis Remastered release, and we have good news for you: We can confirm that Crysis will still be coming to Nintendo Switch on July 23rd!,” wrote the Crysis Twitter account.
This should help clarify any confusion surrounding the game’s release date. Originally, Crytek had to delay Crysis Remastered’s release date due to backlash following a leaked trailer. Fans of the series who saw the gameplay footage were none too pleased about the game’s visuals.

That’s a huge problem, considering that the Crysis series prides itself on having incredible graphical fidelity. If someone’s PC is capable of running the latest Crysis game, that’s usually a mark of pride for them. However, the visuals in this leaked trailer were not up to par with what players expect from the series.
Crytek moved quickly, announcing that they are delaying the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC. “The features you’re looking forward to are already set,” said this announcement, “but we want to take the time on polishing the game.”

They also confirmed that it was, in fact, fan response to the leaks that prompted them to take this decision. “We’ve seen all the reactions – the good and the bad – and we’re listening,” they said. They also promised that Crysis Remastered will be “up to the PC – and console – breaking standard” that fans have come to expect from the series.
So, to round up Crysis Remastered doesn’t have a concrete release date for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, the game is still coming out on July 23, 2020, for the Nintendo Switch, as originally planned.
