Crying mid-match while wearing a ‘$6 Kmart special’: Kokkinakis escapes the Aus Open wilderness – Fox Sports
Wearing a “$6 Kmart special” and with tears in his eyes, Thanasi Kokkinakis is finally back on the Australian tennis landscape.

The South Australian burst onto the scene when, at just 15 years old, he won his first Australian Open match.
But that was 2014, and after repeating the feat in 2015, hes battled a series of brutal injuries as well as glandular fever. Hes won just one grand slam match in the last six years; a 2019 US Open triumph which was immediately followed by him having to withdraw.
