Crocodile killed after remains found in north Qld fisherman search

In an update on Saturday afternoon, an Environment and Science Department spokeswoman said officers had located and humanely euthanised a four-metre crocodile near where Mr Heard’s capsized and damaged two-metre dinghy was found on Friday.
A necropsy on the animal will determine if and how it was involved in Mr Heard’s disappearance, she said. Examination of his boat had earlier led officers to believe it was “highly likely” a crocodile was involved.
Wildlife officers are continuing to assist police with the ongoing investigation.
