The bouncer is cricket’s version of a coat-hanger tackle in footy and, for the long-term brain health of players, must be removed from the game.

Bowlers are disadvantaged enough as it is, and to have the bouncer as a shock tactic to keep batsmen on their mettle is vital to maintaining the competitive balance.
