Cricket back with a bang as Aussies see off charging Kiwis – Fox Sports
A clutch innings from 23-year-old Ash Gardner and some superb death bowling from veteran medium-quick Megan Schutt helped Australia to a 17-run win over New Zealand in the first T20 International in Brisbane.

There was a fair amount of rust on display in the first match for either team since the T20 World Cup in March, but the world champion Aussies did just enough to see off their trans-Tasman rivals in the first of six white-ball clashes.
Both sides sported black armbands and there was a moment of silence before the match in honour of cricket legend Dean Jones, who passed away Thursday at 59.
