Dozens of Queensland suburbs have been put on high alert for signs of COVID-19 after traces of the virus were found in wastewater.
Fragments of the virus were detected in the Loganholme sewage catchment, Queensland Health said on Monday.
The catchment receives sewage from several suburbs in Brisbanes south including Logan Central and Regents Park, among others.
Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said anyone in the area with even the mildest symptoms needs to come forward for testing.
