Trainer reacts ‘proactively and responsibly’ by scratching weekend runners
A COVID scare has forced a Victorian trainer to scratch a number of horses from this weekend’s racing, including two intended runners at Flemington yesterday.
A staff member of trainer Jason Warren came into close family contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. After learning of the situation, Warren took the “proactive and responsible” step and scratched his runners.
This includes the fancied Diesel ‘N’ Dust from the second race at Flemington as well as Eureka Street in the seventh event. A…
