COVID restrictions Sydney: NSW government announces new cases linked to Northern Beaches – 7NEWS.com.au
A concerning cluster of coronavirus cases continues to grow at a rapid pace – as a reintroduction of restrictions looms.

Restrictions have returned to Sydney amid a massive surge in coronavirus cases.
Thirty new cases were reported in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday night.
All but two of those were linked to the so-called Avalon cluster, which has exploded to 68 cases.
The source of the other two are under investigation but reside in Sydneys Northern Beaches.
As a result of the sudden spike, restrictions will return to the Greater Sydney area to prevent seeding events.
