Covid, rain dampen cricket matches

All cricket matches in South-East Queensland were called off last weekend due to the Covid-19 Lockdowns in this area of the state. The wet weather would have stopped matches progressing even if Queensland Cricket had not made this decision. However, during the holiday period some of the local Tewantin-Noosa Club’s junior players were involved in cricket matches, representing the Sunshine Coast in various age groups and playing in state championships. One of these championships was the State Under 15 Summer Carnival which was played at Read Park Tewantin, Cooroy and Coolum ovals.
