WHO’s plea to vaccine producers to address ‘grotesque’ inequalities
Let’s kick it off with a call from the World Health Organization (WHO), which wants vaccine producers to licence their vaccine technology to other producers.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is really concerned about the inequality between rich and poor countries.
“In January, I said that the world was on the brink of a catastrophic moral failure unless urgent steps were taken to ensure equitable distribution of vaccines.
“We have the means to avert this failure, but it is shocking how little has been done to avert it.
