Queenslanders can now enter Western Australia, following a third straight day of no locally-acquired COVID cases.

Travellers from Queensland will still need to self-quarantine and present for testing on the 11th day of their isolation, but can now enter WA without an exemption from police.

Late yesterday, Health Minister Roger Cook said Queensland would be re-classified as a low-risk jurisdiction under WA’s controlled border policy from 12:01am on Wednesday.

Queensland was declared a medium-risk state on March 27, following a COVID outbreak linked to a nurse at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
