COVID live updates: Queensland scrambles to contact trace after latest coronavirus case held party

Good morning!
My name is Dan Smith – welcome to our coronavirus coverage today. All eyes are once again on Queensland, after things escalated last night – Queensland Health revealed the positive case reported yesterday held a party after being told to go home and wait for COVID-19 test results.
As a result, 25 partygoers have been ordered into quarantine and authorities are racing to contain the growing cluster. Queensland will, of course, have a press conference later today, so I’ll bring that to you live when it happens.
In the meantime, grab yourself a caffeinated beverage of your choice, and let’s get started.
