COVID-19 wage cuts may be headache for employers – The Australian Financial Review
A recent Fair Work Commission decision will make employers think twice about reducing the wages of high income earners below the unfair dismissal threshold.
“It follows … that the applicant’s annual rate of earnings was, at the time of her dismissal, below the high income threshold,” deputy president Masson found. “The applicant was entitled to make an unfair dismissal application.”
