Covid-19: Vaccines arrive at Auckland quarantine facility for first jabs – Stuff.co.nz
Twenty-five health workers have now received the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, and Dr Ashley Bloomfield says he’s “confident” for Saturday’s roll-out.
The first batch of Covid-19 vaccines has been administered at the Auckland quarantine facility, marking the beginning of the end of the pandemic in New Zealand.
Twenty-five health professionals were the first in the country to be given the vaccine on Friday afternoon. They also practised administering the vaccine.
These health professionals will be at the forefront of the vaccination roll-out and will get to work from Saturday, vaccinating border workers.
