A further 829 coronavirus cases have been confirmed this evening.
Meanwhile sadly another six deaths have been announced.
The figures were announced by the National Public Health Emergency Team this afternoon.
It comes as Ireland’s vaccine rollout faces increasing pressure with issues of supply affecting the smooth rollout of the jabs.
However there are encouraging signs that cases are beginning to decline across the country with Government ministers already discussing plans to reopen construction.
