COVID-19 fragments discovered in three wastewater treatment plants in Queensland – 7NEWS.com.au
Health officials in Queensland are pushing for people to get tested after detections across multiple suburbs.
Thirty-three suburbs in Queensland have been placed on high alert for symptoms of coronavirus.
Fragments of the virus were recently detected at three separate wastewater treatment plants.
It could indicate old cases of COVID-19 continuing to shed the virus but not spreading it.
However, it could also mean there are undetected cases of the virus in the community.
As a result, a push for testing for anyone with the mildest symptoms in the affected areas has been issued.
