Covid-19 cases could hit 1,000 per day if the spread of the deadly virus continues on its current path, the government has said.
While top officials have cautioned that several other counties are a cause of concern.
Liz Canavan, Assistant Secretary General at the Department of the Taoiseach said although Dublin has hit the headlines in recent days, other counties need to be on alert.
