News of three new community Covid-19 cases has again raised questions about the role fomite transmission (surfaces) could play in the spread of the virus.
One of the recent Auckland community cases works at LSG Sky Chefs, an airline laundry and catering facility.
At the press conference announcing the cases last Sunday, director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said: Her main role is in the laundry area, but also, she is involved in some of the packing and preparation of meals.
