With scale taking on greater importance, Travel & Transport also elevates Corporate Travel to the fifth-biggest agent worldwide, up from seventh, on $10.8 billion in combined annual ticketing value.
“When the whole industry’s losing money month-to-month, and nearly all of that industry must have international travel to survive, clearly there has to be some consolidation and in our strong view this is by far the best asset anywhere,” Mr Pherous said.
