Premier Mark McGowan said he would not be rushed into anything that goes against health advice for keeping West Australians safe.

The West Australian government has announced it will delay the Phase 5 easing of coronavirus restrictions for at least another two weeks.
Phase 5 would have meant the elimination of the 2sqm rule and the scrapping of the 50 per cent capacity rule at Optus Stadium.

It was due to come into effect on August 15 but has been pushed back to at least August 29, Premier Mark McGowan said in a press conference on Friday.
