The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide has passed 23.7 million, Johns Hopkins University data shows, while deaths from the virus have passed 815,000.

Three western Sydney schools have closed their campuses today after each was linked to a separate possible coronavirus case.
Riverstone High School, Schofields Public School and Wyndham College at Quakers Hill will be non-operational for on-site learning on Wednesday, the Department of Education confirmed.
The department has been advised by NSW Health of a possible case of COVID-19 at each school, it said.
