A global analysis has found that treating critically-ill COVID-19 patients with steroids can reduce the risk of death by 20 per cent, leading to the WHO recommending their use in those cases.

An analysis of seven international trials has found that treating critically-ill COVID-19 patients with steroids can reduce mortality risks by 20 per cent, which has prompted the WHO to recommend steroid treatment.
Meanwhile a British COVID-19 victims group representing more than 1,400 bereaved families have labelled Prime Minister Boris Johnson “heartless” for refusing to meet with them.
