Coronavirus update: Premier updates Queenslanders

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Health Minister Yvette D’Ath and Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young are providing an update on coronavirus.
Queensland has recorded six new cases overnight, five in hotel quarantine and one close contact of the Stafford man who tested positive on Thursday.
There are now 71 active cases in Queensland.
Yesterday, 6,881 tests were conducted.
Ms Palaszczuk said 18 close contacts of the man had been identified, with contact tracers continuing to find people who may have come into contact with him.
The new case is a man from Strathpine on Brisbane’s northside, and work is underway to find his contacts.
