Coronavirus scare sweeps Flemington after Waterhouse staffer feels ill – The Age
The racing industry was breathing a collective sigh of relief on Monday night after a coronavirus scare which swept through Flemington on the eve of the spring racing carnival turned out to be a false alarm.
“RV facilitated the conduct of a second COVID-19 test today for the registered stablehand to expedite receipt of their results. That test result has been received tonight and was negative for COVID-19.
“As a result, the Waterhouse-Bott stable is free to resume normal training activities at Flemington tomorrow, noting that the staff member in question will not resume duties until they have returned to full health.”
