When you think of the cruise industry, an electrician probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But for people like Alfredo Quaglia, his business has relied on them as part of their livelihood for decades.
For a business specialising in electrical motor repairs, Christmas decorations for a cruise ship might seem like an unusual client order.
But at Alfredo Quaglia’s Sydney workshop, sourcing last-minute supplies for cruise companies used to sit alongside its more traditional services.
“They would come up with asking us all sorts of things, not only in the technical side but goods for the hotel or accommodation side,” he said.
