Restrictions were lifted for Laois and Offaly but Kildare remains in strict lockdown

The government announced on Friday that coronavirus restrictions would remain in place in Kildare for a further two weeks.
Kildare, Laois and Offaly were all placed under strict lockdown for the past two weeks following an alarming spike in cases in recent weeks.
While the restrictions were lifted effective immediately for Laois and Offaly, Health Chief made the recommendation to Cabinet that the measures need to stay in place given the high amount of cases in Kildare.
