Shipments of potentially dangerous substances and medications claiming to offer protection from coronavirus are being intercepted at the border.
The Australian Border Force (ABF) on Monday said there had been a significant spike in the detection of several medical supplies related to the pandemic.
Of particular concern was a traditional Chinese medicine ingredient – which can also be a precursor to the drug ice – and an anti-malaria drug touted by US President Donald Trump.
