Professor Nick Talley issued a sobering warning to Queensland after Victoria recorded a further 270 cases of COVID and two more deaths.
The current outbreak of coronavirus seen mostly in Victoria and NSW is not the second wave of the virus in Australia, one expert says.
Professor Nick Talley, Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Medical Journal, said the outbreaks in the two states are actually the first wave of the virus in the pandemic.
