Coronavirus medi-hotel Tom’s Court put up for sale months after opening in Adelaide

Adelaide’s dedicated medi-hotel for coronavirus patients has been put on the market, just months after it was launched.
Key points:
- The hotel has been accommodating coronavirus patients since February
- SA Health has confirmed its owners are now selling the site
- But it says the existing agreement to keep the site as a medi-hotel will be honoured
But health authorities say the sale of Tom’s Court Hotel will not affect the state’s capacity to safely accommodate people with COVID-19.
The hotel was opened in February to improve the state’s hotel quarantine program, following the November lockdown which was caused by a cluster that was traced back to a medi-hotel.
