A further 48 new infections were confirmed across the Bristol region today

The number of coronavirus patients being cared for in Bristol’s hospitals has dropped to below 80 for the first time this year.
Figures released from the Department of Health show there are 78 people in hospitals in the Bristol area who have tested positive for Covid-19, and 15 battling on ventilators.
A total of 54 are being cared for at University Hospitals Bristol, which runs Bristol Royal Infirmary, and 24 at North Bristol Trust.
