England’s latest coronavirus hotspots have been revealed – with a worrying huge jump in the rate of infection in eight areas.
The latest data comes as the number of new Covid-19 cases in the UK today soared by 3,539 – the highest rise for four months.
Public Health England warned that although most of the new cases were seen in younger people, there were “worrying signs of infections occurring in the elderly.”
