Coronavirus fragments found in Brisbane wastewater treatment plant
Fragments of the coronavirus have been detected at Brisbane’s Luggage Point wastewater treatment plant, prompting calls for people showing symptoms of COVID-19 to get tested.
Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said anyone with symptoms of the virus needed to come forward.

“Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting, and loss of taste or smell,” she said.
