There have been eerie scenes in Melbourne with streets empty as Victorians endure the first day of their five-day lockdown.
Streets have been largely empty, without any of the usual foot traffic and buzzing vibe, as residents stay confined to their homes.
The usual traffic of people busily travelling to work, gyms, coffee shops or brunch dates on a Saturday morning were nowhere to be seen.
