Coronavirus Australia: The first Australian vaccines may be ready in 7 weeks – The Australian Financial Review
Health officials are working towards a regulatory approval date in late January and government sources said a February rollout remained a possibility.
Speaking to Health Minister Greg Hunt on Sunday, the global head of AstraZeneca confirmed the pharmaceutical giant was providing vaccine data to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) at the earliest possible time.
This was being done “with a view to the regulator being in a position to make an approval decision by the end of January,” a spokesman for Mr Hunt said.
