Coronavirus Australia live news: Victorians stuck in Sydney begin to return home after easing of border restrictions
More Victorians who were stuck in Sydney are beginning to return home after border restrictions were eased for 25 council areas.
The Blue Mountains, Wollongong and most Greater Sydney local government areas (LGAs) were downgraded to orange zones at 6:00pm last night.
The 10 local government areas that will remain red zones are:
- Blacktown City
- Burwood
- Canada Bay City
- Canterbury-Bankstown
- Cumberland
- Fairfield City
- Inner West
- Liverpool City
- Parramatta City
- Strathfield Municipality.
Local government areas along the New South Wales and Victorian border have been downgraded to green zones.
